The development stages:Tendering/2015-06,In production/2018-12.The investment is US$800mn.The project involves supply of natural gas by means of open technology, to current power plants and those operate with fuel oil and diesel, and which can be converted to use natural gas, which the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) operates in the state of Baja California Sur. When it goes into operation the project will provide 90-212Mcf3/d of natural gas. The carrier that is awarded the contract will receive natural gas at some point in Mexico and will transport it via maritime vessels to the CFE power plants on the Baja California Sur peninsula.
