The development stages:Under Construction/2012-12,In operation/2017-09.The investment is US$497mn.The project is aimed at strengthening maintenance and personnel security protocols, while simultaneously mitigating environmental impacts. It includes the rehabilitation and refurbishment of gas turbines, tanks, boilers, cooling towers, pipework, sewers, electrical circuits and heaters. The project also attempts to overhaul the procurement process of equipment and materials, as well as commission studies on infrastructure integrity and improve the plant's distillation, treatment and conversion processes.
