The development stages:In production - under development/2013-07.The BM-S-9 block is located in Brazil's pre-salt Santos basin and is informally known as Guará. BG Group has a 30% stake in the block, with operator Petrobras holding 45% and Repsol Sinopec Brasil 25%. The Sapinhoá field, located in the block, began commercial production in January 2013 following the deployment of floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel Cidade de São Paulo. Cidade de São Paulo has a processing capacity of 120,000b/d of oil. In November 2014, a second FPSO, Cidade de Ilhabela started operations. The FPSO has a processing capacity of up to 150,000b/d oil and 212Mf3 gas. The Lapa field, formerly known as Carioca, is also within the BM-S-9 realm with a total recoverable volume of 459Mboe. It was declared a discovery and in 2011 the results of an extended well test (EWT) on Lapa North-East indicated potential production of approximately 28,000b/d. In December 2013, a declaration of commerciality was announced.
