The development stages:Awaiting construction decision/2015-09,In operation/2019-12.The investment is US$643mn.The project involves the construction of a 247km gas pipeline of 36 inches in diameter. The gas transported will be used to supply a reconfigured Salina Cruz refinery, a cogeneration plant and a liquefaction plant. It will also be used in an initiative to export natural gas to Central America. The project forms part of the country's energy reform, which includes the five-year integrated natural gas transport and storage expansion plan. The energy ministry submitted the pipeline project to Pemex, which put it out to tender on 16 December 2014.
