Elf Gabon and MPDC Gabon signed a development and production-sharing contract with the Gabonese Republic for the Baudroie-Merou Marine license (Baudroie Merou block). The agreement covered the Baudroie, Baudorie Nord Marine and Baliste Sardine fields, 25 km offshore Olende Gabon. The agreement extends the licenses for 10 more years. The companies performed seismic work and drilled the first well in 4Q 2002. The Baudroie-Mérou Marine license covers an area of 296.00 km2.
