The development stages:Awaiting construction decision/2014-01,Under Construction/2016-01,In operation/2018-03.The investment is US$560mn.The project involves the construction of new plants and/or the modification of existing ones at state oil firm Pemex's Miguel Hidalgo refinery. Work at the site will be carried out by Avanzia Instalaciones S.A. de C.V. The initiative is part of the second stage of Pemex's clean fuels project and involves producing ultra low sulfur diesel at five of its six refineries. Work will enable Pemex to produce high quality diesel with sulfur levels reduced from the current 500 parts per million to 15 per million, slashing sulfur dioxide emissions by 12,000t annually.
