The development stages:Exploration drilling/2015-08.The Caupolicán block, along with the Porvenir, Brotula and Isla Magdalena blocks, was awarded to PetroMagallanes in 2007 in an E&P round. The company launched a campaign in 2009-10 when it re-entered existing wells, where discoveries were made. In 2013 and 2014, another three wells were drilled and hydrocarbons were discovered in all of them. Also, permanent facilities have been built at the Rio Norte well site, among them a pipeline gathering system and interconnection to the gas sales network.
