The development stages:Under Construction/2017-02,In operation/2020-12.The investment is US$300mn.The LNG reception, storage and regasification terminal project will enable imported liquified natural gas (LNG) to reach the whole country. GNL Quintero sends 65% of its production to Valparaiso region. It supplies LNG to Chilean generator Endesa, the Aconcagua refinery in Concón, and, through local distributor GasValpo, to some 40 industrial clients and 81,000 residential and commercial users. Construction of a truck freight yard at the GNL Quintero terminal is set to begin on June 2010. The US$18mn terminal, which will allow the transport of LNG to Enap and Metrogas, is slated to come online in the second half of January 2011. Plans to expand a plant, operated by GNL Quintero, were confirmed in August 2012. GNL Quintero is a joint venture between Terminal de Valparaíso (40%) and Enagás (60%).
