Operated by Tullow Oil, the offshore block 15 covers an area of 8,030 square kilometers and is located in the Pelotas basin, in water depths ranging from 2,300 to 3,000 metres. The block was granted in the Uruguay round II tender, under a contract classified as shared production agreement for a period of 30 years, and the commitment to acquire and process 3D seismic data. The acquisition of seismic data started in 2013 and the analysis started in 2014.
