The development stages:Under Construction/2013-08.The investment is US$123mn.Owned by Haiti Haytrac Power and Gas, Promigas and GasEner, the Maurice Bonnefil LNG Regasification Terminal is located 14 kilometers north of Port-au-Prince. Its final goal is to reduce the pollution caused by the use of coal as fuel in the island. It will be a small terminal whose construction will take place in two stages. The first one includes a storage terminal with a capacity of 15,000m3 for the importation of LNG at Cité Soleil and Morne à Cabrit. The second phase considers to doubled the terminal capacity and the construction of a pipeline to supply the industrial zone of Port au Prince. The project has an estimated cost of US$123mn. Is expected to generate 159 direct jobs and almost 6,000 indirect jobs.
