The block covers 42 square kilometers and holds 453Mb of original oil in place and 472Bf3 of original gas in place. Accumulated production from the area amounts to 160Mb of oil and 314Bf3 of gas. The block's reservoirs are found in Miocene sands. The block was tendered as part of CNH's third phase of Round 1 and was awarded to Servicios de Extracción Petrolera Lifting de México, S.A. de C.V. The block is part of four Type 2 blocks, which are expected to contain 100Mb or more remaining in their reservoirs.
