The development stages:Exploration drilling/2017-04.Block 9 is located in Pemex's South Region and is part of the Macuspana-Muspac asset. The block covers 22 square kilometers and holds 7Mb of original oil in place and 62Bf3 of original gas in place. Accumulated production from the area amounts to 2Mb of oil and 18Bf3 of gas. The block's reservoirs are found in Miocene sands. The block was tendered as part of CNH's third phase of Round 1 and was awarded to Compañía Petrolera Perseus, S.A. de C.V. The block is part of 21 Type 1 blocks, which are expected to contain less than 100Mb remaining in their reservoirs.
