The development stages:Exploration drilling/2017-03.Block 22 is located in Pemex's South Region and is part of the Macuspana-Muspac asset. The block covers 10 square kilometers and holds 7Mb of original oil in place and 17Bf3 of original gas in place. Accumulated production from the area amounts to 3Mb of oil and 5Bf3 of gas. The block's reservoirs are found in Cretaceous limestones. The block was put out to tender as part of CNH's third phase of Round One and was awarded to Grupo R Exploración y Producción, S.A. de C.V. in a consortium with Constructora y Arrendadora México, S.A. de C.V. The block is part of 21 Type 1 blocks, which are expected to contain less than 100Mb remaining in their reservoirs.
