The development stages:Under Construction/2007-12,In operation/2014-07.The investment is US$60mn.The Villamontes-Tarija (GVT) gas pipeline expansion will increase its capacity to 64Mf3/d and will include a 144km pipeline. The project aims to multiply 4 times the deliverability of natural gas from Margarita field to Tarija city, as well as satisfy the increasing demand of Tarija department and promote projects related to the new pipeline. The project was splitted in three phases. The first, with an investment of US$97mn, was completed in 2007 and increased the capacity from 7.5 to 8.8Mf3/d. The second phase involved US$22mn and increased the pipeline's capacity to 13.8Mf3/d. It was completed in 2008. The third phase will take GVT capacity to 64Mf3/d (1.81Mm3/d) from 13.8Mf3/d, representing a US$28mn investment. Is expected to be concluded by may, 2014.
