The development stages:Tendering/2000-10,In production - under development/2007-01.Block BCAM-40 is located 530 square kilometers offshore in the Camamu-Almada basin. Petrobras holds the operating licence (35%), along with other owners Brasoil (10%), GeoPark (10%) and Queiroz Galvão (45%). BCAM-40 is host to the Manati and Camarão Norte fields. Manati is a non-associated gas field which has been in production since 2007, with capacity of close to 6Mm3/d. Camarão Norte is located south of Manati and was declared commercial in 2009. Recoverable volumes are estimated at 4.5Mboe, according to Gaffney, Cline & Associates. After the unitization process, the consortium plans to begin developing the field following the natural decline of the Manati field, predicted to begin in 2017-18.
