The development stages:Appraisal drilling/2014-02.Santuario is an onshore block in southern Mexico operated by Petrofac, which was awarded a 25-year license. Covering almost 130 square kilometers, it is the second largest block in extension of the three included in Mexico's first ISC round. The block is composed of three mature fields, Santuario, El Golpe, and Caracolillo. Petrofac has been able to increase recovery rates at El Golpe and Santuario. However, El Caracolillo has no productive wells to date. Exploratory efforts have led to the discovery of new opportunities in the area. After drilling Santuario 401, the company added approximately 150Mb, with potential of adding 50Mb over the coming years. By 1Q14, production averaged 8,071b/d and 4.33Mf3/d (122,539m3/d).
