The development stages:Exploration drilling/2016-12.The project involves exploring for, and extracting, hydrocarbons in deep water in the Gulf of Mexico, specifically in Area-4 of the Salina basin. Block Area-4 is one of six exploration blocks in the Salina basin area and covers 2,359 square kilometers. 3D seismic has been shot over 100% of Area-4 and the main reserves discovered contain heavy oil. The six blocks of the Salina basin together contain an estimated 6.98Bboe.
