The development stages:In production - under development/2014-01.Discovered in 2008 and at a water depth of 120m, this extra-heavy oil field is expected to help alleviate the country's production decline. The field will operate with four production platforms, which are all already completed, and an FPSO that may combine outputs from neighboring Ku, Maloob, and Akal fields for enhanced crude processing. McDermott has already delivered the EPC of Ayatsil-B and has just been awarded a contract for the installation of another platform, Ayatsil-A. Similarly, ICA Fluor was commissioned to deliver the Ayastil-C platform and COMMSA was in charge of Ayatsil-D. Ayatsil holds 594Mboe of 3P reserves and production is expected to reach 100,000b/d by 2019. As Pemex is the owner of this asset, it expects to join forces through a farm out set to be released through 2015.
