The development stages:Under Construction/2014-10,In operation/2016-11.The investment is US$400mn.The project involves the construction and operation of a 413km, 24-inch natural gas pipeline. The line will have a contracted capacity of 202Mf3/d and supply the 450MW Mazatlán thermo and future Mazatlán combined cycle plant. Transportadora de Gas Natural del Noroeste, the local unit of Transcanada Pipelines, was awarded a 25-year contract to build, own and operate the pipeline. The line is a section of Mexico's north-northwest pipeline system.
