The development stages:Under Construction/2013-12,In operation/2016-12.The FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba MV27 is to be deployed in the Lapa field (formerly known as Carioca) in the BM-S-9 block, part of the Pre-sal region of the Santos Basin. The field is operated by Petrobras (45%), alonside BG E&P Brasil (30%) and Repsol Sinopec Brasil (25%). The vessel will be capable of processing up to 100,000 barrels of oil per day, 177mn standard cubic feet of gas per day and has storage capacity of 1,600,000 barrels of crude oil. MODEC and TOYO Offshore Production Systems Pte. Ltd. (MTOPS) have been awarded the turnkey contract by Petrobras for engineering, procurement of equipment and materials, and manufacturing and installation of topsides modules. SOFEC is responsible for the design and supply of the spread mooring system, and GE for the gas turbine generators. MODEC will own and operate the FPSO for a minimum 20 years.
