The development stages:Exploration drilling/1912-01.Wholly owned and operated by Trinidad and Tobago's state oil company Petrotrin, the Penal/Barrackpore onshore field is located 10km southeast of the town of San Fernando in southern Trinidad island. The field was discovered in 1911 and contains estimated reserves of 127.9Mb oil and 628.8Bcf gas. Petrotrin is carrying out a three-year project within the field, which includes the spud of replacement well BP 492 and the startup of WSPCL rig 4.
