The development stages:Exploration drilling/2014-09.The contract is currently in phase zero, during which the public is consulted. A relatively small indigenous group has been identified within the block. Amerisur intends to commence a US$26.9mn 2D seismic program covering 209km in early 2016, which is part of the first 36-month exploratory phase. Additionally, the drilling of one exploration well is forecast by 4Q16. The second phase, also lasting 36 months, includes the acquisition of 100 square kilometers of 3D seismic data and the drilling of two additional exploration wells. The contract includes a six-year exploration term and a 24-year production term, extendable by 10 years.
