The development stages:Early design & engineering/2016-01.The investment is US$500mn.The Dos Águilas project involves an open-access system of refined product terminals and pipelines connecting Corpus Christi, Texas to northern Mexico, built and operated by Howard Midstream Energy Partners subsidiary Dos Águilas. The project includes four new refined liquids terminals with total capacity of 1.15Mb and about 460km of 12-inch pipeline with initial transportation capacity of 72,000b/d, with plans to expand to 90,000b/d. It would also involve a new terminal in Robstown, Texas, near Corpus Christi, and a 226km pipeline between Robstown and a new terminal in Laredo, in addition to a 16km pipeline from Laredo to the Río Grande river and border-crossing facilities. In Mexico, the project will consist of a 19km pipeline from the Río Grande to a new terminal in Nuevo Laredo and a 200km pipeline connecting to a new terminal at Santa Catarina, near Monterrey.
