The fields primarily hold 27º API oil. Humapa was one of the six blocks offered in Pemex's third round of ISCs with the purpose of increasing output at Chicontepec. In 2013, Halliburton was awarded the contract with an attractive bid of US$0.01/b fee and a recovery factor of 1.25. Approximate production was 3,790b/d in December 2014.
