The development stages:Exploration drilling/2012-12.The on-shore LLA 83 block covers 172,987ha and is located in Colombia's Llanos Orientales basin. The block, classified as ¿opportunities for the technical evaluation of border areas,¿ is part of the 2014 Colombian Round for production and exploration licenses, promoted by local hydrocarbons agency ANH and the mines and energy ministry (Minminas). The contract comprises a single 36-month stage which includes the acquisition of 200km of 2D seismic as well as the mapping of hydrocarbon anomalies from surface geochemistry over the entire extent of the area, and the drilling of a stratigraphic well. The contract will last three years for exploratory activities and 24 years once production has started, and is extendable for another 10 years.
