The development stages:Exploration drilling/2007-10.Operated by Pacific Rubiales, block 126 covers an area of 638,354 hectares at the Uyacalí basin, in the central Selva zone. The company has drilled the Colpa-2X well at the Copacabana and Tama deposits, where no hydrocarbons were founded, and the Sheshea-1X well, located about 50km south of the first one, which tested 1,430 bbl/d of 53° API light sweet oil with no water from a ten foot perforated zone in the Cretaceous aged Chonta formation. The well was drilled to a total depth of 8,925 feet in late 2012. Pacific Rubiales applied for two Environmental Impact Assessments in order to progress to an evaluation phase followed by the expected development of the discovery. The first EIA is for 23 drilling pads, comprised of 8 wells each plus a 2D and 3D seismic program. The second EIA is primarily for early production facilities. The Company expects to receive the approval of these EIA's by the end of 2014. The block was acquired by Veraz Petroleum and Petrominerales in 2008. On june, 2012, Petrominerals acquired the peruvian subsidiary of Veraz Petroleum. Later, in November 2013, Pacific Rubiales acquired Petrominerales, earning 100% of the block.
