The development stages:Tendering/2015-12.The project involves exploring for, and extracting, hydrocarbons in deep water in the Gulf of Mexico, specifically in Area 6 of the Salina basin. Block Area 6 is one of six exploration blocks in the Salina basin area and covers 2,606 square kilometers. 3D seismic has been shot over 100% of Area 6 and the main reserves discovered contain extra-heavy oil. The six blocks of the Salina basin together contain an estimated 6.98Bboe.
