The development stages:Exploration drilling/2006-12.Block 128 is located in Peru's Marañon basin and covers an area of 2.3mn net acres. Gran Tierra Energy was the operator and 100% owner of the area. It conducted a 2D seismic program and drilled the Kanatari well where no hydrocarbons were found. The block was returned to Perúpetro in 2011 because the company didn't find geological interest in the area.
