The investment is US$400mn.The 36-in Tarahumara pipeline extends for 381km and has a transport capacity of 850Mf3/d. The initiative was developed by Tarahumara Pipeline, a subsidiary of Mexican gas transport firm Fermaca Pipeline. The pipeline transports natural gas from El Paso, Texas via a gas network owned by US company Energy Transfer, a partner of Femaca, for power generation in Chihuahua, Durango and Coahuila states. Tarahumara Pipeline has 25-year contract with Mexico's state power company, CFE, to transport natural gas.
