The development stages:Exploration drilling/2014-02.Puesto Hernández is one of the oldest productive fields in Argentina. It was discovered in the early 30's and covers an area of 147 square kilometers. It has estimated proven reserves of 44.9 millions of barrels at the end of 2012. In February, 2014, YPF has bought out partner Petrobras Argentina's 38.5% stake in the block to fully control the deposit. Currently, it produces over 10,000b/d. YPF plans to accelerate investments on the block to maximize its potential and end all the area's production to its Luján de Cuyo refinery in Mendoza.
