The Monserrate area, part of the Mana block in the Magdalena basin, is operated by InterOil who has 70% of the license, Ecopetrol holder of the remaining 30%. It is comprised of 200,000 barrels of recoverable oil, an average taken from previous wells. InterOil is directing the development of the area and hopes to raise net production to 3,000bbl/d in Colombia.
