The block covers 11 square kilometers and holds 166Mb of original oil in place and 48Bf3 of original gas in place. Accumulated production from the area amounts to 15Mb of oil and 10Bf3 of gas. The block's reservoirs are found in Cretaceous limestones. The block was tendered as part of CNH's third phase of Round 1 and was awarded to Diavaz Offshore, S.A.P.I. de C.V. The block is part of four Type 2 blocks, which are expected to contain 100Mb or more remaining in their reservoirs.
