Location: Essaouira Basin, central Morocco
Reserves: 1 tcf (28 bcm) of gas - Sidi Moktar area, 293 bcf (8.3 bcm) - Kechoula discovery
Area: 4,711 sq km

Located within the Essaouira Basin in central Morocco which has been producing onshore gas since 1950\'s, Sidi Moktar comprises of 3 blocks totalling 4,711 square kilometres. The blocks surround the producing Meskala field (Morocco\'s major producing field). Four fields within Sidi Moktar have successfully produced 30.5 Bcf of gas from Jurassic aged reservoirs.

Principal targets are the Silurian sourced Triassic targets, proven by the neighbouring producing Meskala field. Resource estimates for Triassic targets independently assessed by AJM Petroleum Consultants are 292 Bcf (Mean Estimate) and 776 Bcf (High Estimate).

Longreach executed G&G work to plan for a new seismic programme and to further evaluate existing prospects ahead of a drill campaign.
