The development stages:Exploration drilling/2006-04.Fuerte Norte is a 481,000ha offshore block held by Colombia's state oil company Ecopetrol and operated by the Colombian subsidiary of US oil company Anadarko Petroleum. As per terms of an agreement between the companies, Anadarko Colombia assumed operatorship and a 50% share in the block. Ecopetrol will keep a 50% share. By the end of 1Q15, drilling of one deepwater exploratory well in the Calasú prospect had begun as part of the companies' 2015 exploration program. The Calasú-1 well was spud after the Kronos-1 well in the Fuerte Sur block was completed.
