The Soledad block has an acreage covering 125 square kilometers and 186 operating wells, which are located in seven fields: Aragón, Gallo, Palo Blanco, Soledad Norte, Soledad, Coyotes and Guadalupe. The area contains 3P reserves of 134Mboe. Soledad is one of the six blocks offered in Pemex's third round of ISCs with the purpose of increasing output at Chicontepec. In 2013, Petrolite, a subsidiary of Baker Hughes, was awarded a 35-year contract. Approximate production reached 3,970b/d in December 2014.
