El Temblador Field

The Temblador field covers an area of 162,98 square kilometers and is operated by Petrodelta, a joint venture between Venezuela's state-owned company PDVSA (60%), Houston-based Harvest Natural Resources (20.5%), local firm Vinccler (8%) and Argentina's Pluspetrol (11.6%). The field contains estimated reserves of 10.2Mboe and 7Bf3 of gas, while 3P reserves are calculated at 92.6Mbo and 59Bf3 of gas. The field was discovered in 1936 and was under development for 20 years. In 2003, the field was evaluated by Harvest and, in 2006, the company signed a definitive agreement to form Petrodelta. Since 2009, the field has been at a development stage and more than 30 holes have been drilled. El Temblador produces around 10,000b/d from 28 productive wells.
