Block Bandurria Centro covers 130 square kilometers and is close to YPF's prominent Loma Campana block in Neuquén's Vaca Muerta formation. The block was awarded to Pan American Energy LLC in July 2015. The first development phase for the Bandurria complex – Bandurria Norte, Centro, and Sur – is due to be carried out from 2015-18 and will include 40 new wells requiring an estimated US$794mn. After this, a mass development phase envisions 1,700 wells and transport facilities for the blocks' production, which could attract overall investment of up to US$26.8bn.
