Production at the offshore Tubarão Azul field in Campos basin began in 2012. Operator OGX says the flow rate from its first two wells at the field totals 10,000b/d. In end-2012, the company announced it was preparing to drill a third production well, which will be connected to the OSX-1 floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit. OGX plans to abandon three production wells at the field. OGX said the announcement followed a reevaluation of existing geological and geophysical data in the area. Oil quality: 21º API.
