The La Brea block, covering an area of 144 square kilometers, is wholly owned by Andes Energía. There are currently has two productive wells in the area. The PMu-x7 well was producing 6b/d on November 20, 2012 prior to a pulling operation. Production reached 100b/d for four days before dropping to and stabilizing at 13b/d. Meanwhile, the PMu-x2 well was producing 22b/d before a workover operation that brought production to 107b/d. The company is carrying out a program to improve oil production in thr block.
