The development stages:Exploration drilling/2008-11.Operated by Ecopetrol since 2008, the CPO-10 block is located in Colombia's Llanos Orientales basin. In 2013, discoveries were made at the Pastinaca, Cusuco, and Guaniz prospects. By 4Q14, the company had revealed that operational costs had increased stemming from unsuccessful exploratory efforts at various blocks, including drilling activities of delimiting wells Cusuco-2 and Pastinaca-4 at CPO-10. In 1Q15, Ecopetrol said it had drilled the Pastinaca-5 delimiting well at its CPO-10 block to further exploratory activity. In June 2015, the block was still in the first and secondary exploratory phases, according to ANH.
