The development stages:Exploration drilling,In production - under development/2016-03.The development and exploitation of the area started in 2008 by a consortium formed by Pampetrol SAPEM and CGC SA., which conducted the demarcation and 3D seismic studies in 200 square kilometers (74% of the total area). The Terrazas x-1 and Alta Vista x-1 exploration wells were drilled. In 2009, CGC ended the exploration works and the JV signed with Pampetrol, which now controls the area. In 2001, Pampetrol SAPEM prepared a new tender process and signed an agreement with PCR (Petroquímica Comodoro Rivadavia). In 2012, gas was discovered in Terrazas x-1 and Alta Vista x-q wells. This area has estimated reserves of 448 billion cubic meters.
