The development stages:Tendering/2012-06,In operation/2013-01.The Pánuco block covers an area of 1,839 square kilometers and comprises the fields of Salinas, Pánuco, Topila and Cacalilao. As of January of 2014, remaining 2P reserves were 30Mb and 18Bf3. There are 1,626 wells in the Pánuco contract area, and 191 are currently producing a total of approximately 1,500b/d. On the other hand, 99 wells have been closed off and 1,336, plugged. The Pánuco license, part of Pemex's second round of incentive-based contracts, was awarded to a consortium made up of Dowell Schlumberger and Petrofac México in June 2012 at a fee of US$7/b. To date, the block has produced about 760Mb of mainly heavy oil.
