The development stages:Exploration drilling/2016-01.The Loma Ranqueles block comprises 33,300 acres (135 square kilometers) and is located atop what is thought to be the oil portion of the Agrio shale play, the wet gas and condensate portion of the Vaca Muerte play and the dry gas window of the Los Molles play. Americas Petrogas has a 25% working interest in the block with partner Tecpetrol operating and holding a 65% working interest. Gas y Petróleo Neuquén holds the remaining 10% working interest. The block is prospective for unconventional shale and tight formations as well as shallower conventional targets. Loma Ranqueles shows P50 recoverable reserves of 78Mb of oil and 4.7Tf3 of gas.
