The development stages:Awaiting construction decision/2013-10,Under Construction/2014-07,In operation/2016-02.The investment is US$1.45bn.This project is part of phase II of the 741km Los Ramones north and south segments. The phase II North pipeline will start at the Los Ramones compression station in Nuevo León state and run 450km south to reach Villa Hidalgo in the state of San Luis Potosí. TAG Pipelines and Gasoductos de Chihuahua will be in charge of its operation and maintenance. TAG Pipelines is a subsidiary of group MexGas International, which is owned by Pemex. Gasoductos de Chihuahua is a joint venture between PGPB and Sempra's Mexican unit, IEnova. Construction will be managed by AOT Pipelines, a consortium formed by Brazilian group Odebrecht, Mexico's Arendal, and Argentina's Techint. All in all, the 855km Los Ramones natural gas pipeline is designed to improve gas supply in Mexico's central region. In March 2015 investment companies BlackRock and First Reserve purchased from Pemex subsidiary PMI 45% equity in TAG Norte.
