Located in ultra-deepwater (1,780m) in Brazil's Campos basin, the BC-10, or Parque das Conchas, project is made up of six fields developed in three phases. The first phase developed the Ostra, Abalone and Argonauta fields via subsea wells tied to the FPSO Espirito Santo, which started production in July 2009. The second phase of the project incorporated the Argonauta O-North field into the development, coming on-line in October 2013 and adding an expected 35,000boed. In July 2013, Shell, along with Petrobras (former partner) and ONGC, committed to a third phase of the BC-10 project, which includes a subsea tieback of an additional two fields: Massa and Argonauta O-South. The additional production is expected to add another 28,000boed. Shell is the operator of the field with a 50% interest. Project partners are Indian major onGC (27%) and Qatar Petroleum (23%).
