Llanos 30 Block

Operated by Parex Resources, the Llanos 30 block covers an area of 474,78 square kilometers and is located at the Llanos basin. Drillings in the zone started in 2012 and the first discovery was in february 2012 at the Viviana Este-1 prospect, then Adalia-1, 2 and 3 wells were drilled, where 38-degree API oil was found. Is expected to begin its primary production in 2014, once permits are secured. Also, Parex is planning to drill new exploration wells in this block during 2014. On March 14, 2014 Parex announced that activities in the Adalia field would be temporarily suspended in order to resolve community demands related to the regional oil industry. Since then the company has not reported anything from LLA-30 block.
