The El Edén block covers an area of 109,249 gross acres and is located in Colombia's Llanos Orientales basin. The block is operated by Parex Resources which has a 60% stake while Petroamerica holds the remaining 40%. An exploratory program has struck light crude at the La Casona-1 and La Casona-2 wells, and as of January 2015, the block's production was restricted to its La Casona field. According to ANH, crude output reached 293b/d by March 2015.
