Offshore exploration block in the Suriname-Guyana Basin. It covers approximately 8,498km2 and lies in water depths of 49m-305metres. Following 3D seismic work and two exploration wells, the potential of the block and the region is being assessed. The agreement was signed in June 2007 and was therefore anticipated to expire by 2013. 3D seismic over the block was conducted in 2008 and 2009. At present, Block 37 is no longer listed under Murphy Oil\'s Suriname portfolio, which now solely comprises of a PSC signed for Block 48 in December 2011.
