Gazprom and Total have signed an exploration production Service contract for a large onshore block with Bolivia\'s YPFB. The Azero block spans 78,487 square kilometres of the departments of Chuquisaca and Santa Cruz in the east and central south of Bolivia.

If the block is considered commercially viable, a joint venture could be formed between YPFB and the international partners, with the majority stake to be held by YPFB.
