The total project´s development investment for Campo Margarita, which Repsol is conducting with its gas field business partners, British Gas (37.5%) and PAE (25%), amounts to US$661 million. This investment is supported by YPFB Bolivia (YPFB) and will be carried out in two phases. Phase 1, which is currently being finished, includes among other works, the plant construction that was previously awarded to Tecnicas Reunidas an which will be build now in collaboration with REPSOL in “Campo Margarita” with the implementation of the project´s Phase 2, of this new award to TR. The budget amount is about US$100 million and will be completed in approximately 18 months.

This plant will be designed and constructed using modular technology to reduce to a minimum the need to work on the construction site which has a difficult access, reducing as well the execution time. Additionally the supply and installation of an additional turbine generator has been included to ensure electricity for self-sufficiency of the power plant. This is a crucial project for Bolivia and is a vital investment to warranty the supply of Bolivian gas to the domestic market and for export, with priority to the Argentine market.
